Translations
Introduction
The Kadanza translations extension allows you to translate your content in different languages. A default language is set, and other languages are made available to translate your content. When content is translated, the UI is also translated.
1. Translate settings
Admins can access the translation settings via the Admin Console. Here admins can translate
- Field names and description
- Field values
- Space names
- User group names and descriptions
- The login page (title and additional text)
- GraFx template names and descriptions
- GraFx Studio UI (variable names etc)

All available languages are listed, so each element can be translated. When no translation is added, the default language will be used

2. Translating content
Translating page content is done in the editor. When are translated, they will become visible in the navigation. Untranslated pages are hidden and a user can revert to the default language to see the original content.
Open the editor and select the page you want to translate in the page tree. In the upper menu of the editor, you’ll find a language dropdown. Here you can find
- Default language
- Existing translations
- New translations

After selecting an untranslated language, a duplicate will be created. You can add a translated page name and title, and select the language from which the content will be copied. All existing translations are listed here. Once the content is duplicated, you can start editing the page. Make sure to publish the page to enable the translated page in the navigation.

When you navigate to an untranslated page while in the editor, you will need to select the default language and create a translation before you can edit the content. A warning message will be shown to inform the admins. Untranslated pages have a visual indication in the page tree.

Page content can be different between languages, but keep in mind that the page tree and permissions will be the same for each language. It is not possible to change the page tree or to create a translation with different permissions than the page in the default language.
